Major new ride in 2007!
25th October 2006

Loudoun Castle Vaults Exclusive!

We are delighted to be the first to confirm that a major new drop tower ride will be installed at Loudoun Castle for the 2007 season.

The ride is a 130ft tall S&S Double Shot™ Tower, which was originally built in 2002 at Pleasureland Southport.

Up to 12 people sit in seats around the edge of a shuttle which is launched smoothly to the top of the tower before being thrust back down it - a sequence which is repeated twice each time the ride operates.

Mr Henk Bembom, Managing Director of Loudoun's parent company Parkware Ltd, said of the ride:

"The Tower is a first for Scotland.
The ride itself is rated as one of the best Tower experiences!"

Riders can expect to experience both positive and negative G-forces of 4G and -1G respectively.
The ride will be considerably taller than a similar ride at Pleasure Island, in Cleethorpes, which stands at 80ft.
