Slitherin for Sale!
14th October 2007

Loudoun's Schwarzkopf Cityjet rollercoaster has been put up for sale for the second time in two years.
The ride was known by the names Viper and Slitherin at Loudoun Castle and operated until the end of the 2004 season, when it was replaced by The Rat.
It was previously rented to Lightwater Valley until they built another ride in its place. Plagued with technical difficulties, it was put up for sale two years ago at an asking price of £85,000 but failed to find a buyer.

The ride, built by the same legendary German ride designer behind Twist and Shout, was refurbished by Loudoun's parent company Parkware Ltd in 2007.

The ride was then either to be rented out again to another park, installed at Loudoun Castle or sold on.

Parkware chose the latter, so maybe we'll see this ride at another UK park some time soon?

In other news, a Schwarzkopf Silverarrow rollercoaster has been listed for sale on a well known ride trading website.
Could this be Twist and Shout?
