Loudoun
Castle Vaults has more exclusive information on Loudoun Castle's new
rides!
Earlier this
month, we broke the news that three
new rides would be added to Pirate Cove for the new
season. The additions will involve removing the Captain's Wheel as
well as the Mini Wheel
and Bugs Life
childrens rides.
The biggest new ride
will be a HUSS
Breakdance
4 and we have now been informed that it will be called 'Stormbreaker'.
|
|
|
The ride will have a 'barrel' theme
similar to the one shown left, fitting in with the nautical style of
Pirate Cove. |
| The two other rides to be installed in
Pirate Cove, are an as-yet un-named chair-o-planes
ride and a spinning plane
ride called 'Sea Patrol'. |
| Sea Patrol is a Red Baron ride,
built by Technical Park
in Italy. Six rusty looking biplanes fly clockwise round a central
column while lifting two passengers per car up and down to a height of two
metres off the ground! |
|
 |
 |
|
The first of the
biplanes can be seen in the image left and should be joined
by the rest of the squadron in time for opening. |
|
Loudoun's 2008
leaflet is currently in the
final stages of design and we hope to bring you an exclusive preview
when it is approved by park management.
